A one-day experience that combines nature, spirituality, tradition, and the authentic flavors that define the Los Chillos Valley — a journey through conservation, devotion, and craftsmanship.

The adventure begins with a visit to Wikiri Sapoparque, a unique sanctuary dedicated to amphibian conservation. Here, frogs, toads, and other vividly colored species take center stage in a fascinating educational experience. Visitors learn not only to observe them but also to understand their vital role in ecosystems — true guardians of nature. (General admission: $10.25)
The route continues to the Schoenstatt Sanctuary, a haven of peace and reflection. Its simple architecture and serene gardens invite contemplation, making it the perfect place to reconnect with oneself. The sanctuary also has a small shop offering souvenirs and devotional items. (Free admission)
The itinerary reaches Alangasí Central Park, where the spirit of local life shines through. The parish’s traditional church, bustling plaza, and friendly atmosphere reveal the authenticity of this Andean community.
Lunch is served in El Tingo, a town famous for its hornado — roasted pork that stands among Quito’s most beloved dishes. Highly recommended spots include Hornados Doña Miche, El Canario, Horno de Leña, and Fritadas Patty. (Dish: $5 – $10)
The tour continues to Cervecería Sabai, one of the most renowned craft breweries in the area. Visitors learn about the brewing process and enjoy a tasting that ranges from light to full-bodied styles — an experience that pairs science with pleasure. (Tasting: $11.50)
