Museo de Sitio La Florida

La Florida Site Museum is Quito’s necropolis, belonging to the Integration period, known for deep shaft tombs up to 16 meters deep showing multiple burials. The dead were adorned with rich funerary goods, indicating a highly stratified pre-Hispanic society with elite members buried with abundant Spondylus shell, gold ornaments, copper bells, and negative-painted vessels.
