Experience Location

Entrance via Ventanillas: From the Quito–Calacalí highway, 6 kilometers from the Middle of the World Monument, in the Caspigasí area (there is a gas station nearby), turn right and continue for 1.2 kilometers until reaching the viewpoint. Entrance via Moraspungo: Continue 8 kilometers past Caspigasí on the Quito–Calacalí road until you reach a second gas station. About 500 meters ahead, there is a dirt road on the right. After 3 kilometers, you arrive at the Moraspungo checkpoint. From this point, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the caldera via a winding, steep road stretching 12 kilometers.
