Abysmo Brewery was founded at the end of 2013 by our Brewmaster, Nelson Calle, after completing his master’s degree in brewing technology at the Siebel Institute and Dommens Academy in Chicago and Munich, respectively.
Our brewing project began with the production of a single style, and little by little more than 12 different beer styles were created, allowing us to reach our consumers with new experiences always characterized by quality and innovation.
Our name, Abysmo, represents a specific place in Greek mythology, where Hades prepared spiritual beverages for each of the gods of Olympus. For this reason, each of our beer styles is named after a god, paying tribute to their greatness and to “god-level” beer. Following our ideology, our logo represents a Cerberus, a beast from Greek mythology and guardian of the Abyss.
