The volcano is in the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve, which has 13,000 hectares of extension and houses plant species and a great variety of fauna. The Pululahua is one of the only inhabited craters in the world, which you can descend on foot from the viewpoint or by car a few kilometers further along the same road.
