Visit to the Panecillo Viewpoint
Climbing the Panecillo and admiring the extension of Quito from the heights is an experience you must live during your visit to the city. The Panecillo is a hill that divides the city between north and south, and at its top is the representation of the only winged virgin in the world, also known as the Virgin of Quito. It is a giant structure composed of 7,000 pieces of aluminum, a replica of the sculpture by the Quiteño artist Bernardo de Legarda.

On the second day, the route moves toward the boundaries between science and nature. We visit the Middle of the World City and museums that reveal the ancestral worldview. Later, we enter the Pululahua crater and arrive in Yunguilla, a community in the Andean Chocó.

In this museum, the guides recreate fun physics experiments to demonstrate that it is at latitude 0, which has been verified with methods such as the use of GPS equipment. Here you can see an egg standing effortlessly on the head of a nail or how water, when falling into a siphon, spins in opposite directions, depending on the hemisphere you are in. You can also learn about the pre-Columbian cultures of the area: their scientific, astronomical, and worldview advances.
